Giving makes more of a man than it makes less of him. It is, therefore, little wonder why Winston Churchill believes that,"we make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."
The truth of the matter is that you, no matter the situation, will always have it better than someone else. That makes it right that you seek to make the life of another person a little better than it was before – and they will be eternally grateful to you for that. If everyone could act this way, the world will surely be a better place.
The next time you see someone donating in philanthropy or giving to charity or giving a gift to someone else, it is because they understand some of the many benefits of giving as listed below:
Getting better life satisfaction
Helping others in need
Add more meaning to your life and others around you; and
Induce a giving habit in those around you (children, friends, family, etc.) too.
If you want to understand how that works, check out the full list of reasons why you should be giving over here.
